Lecturer  –  Brian Tuckey

MS1 explores specific aspects of musculoskeletal dysfunction including “Myo-chains” and spinal ligament dysfunctions. Myo-chains are strings of muscular tender points which connect the trunk to the distal extremities. They are responsible for postural deformities, trunk / extremity pain syndromes, and are one of the most common dysfunctions seen in athletes. Learn to release tension in the Anterior / Posterior Longitudinal ligaments and the Ligamentum Flavum at all spinal levels to decompress dysfunctional spinal segments, improving symptoms related to pathologies such as Lumbar spinal stenosis, and disc herniation. Treating Ligamentum Flavum dysfunction corrects capsulitis throughout the body including the TMJ, shoulder, hip, knee, elbow, hands and feet. It also markedly reduces the symptoms and disability associated with osteoarthritis of the involved joints.

Exciting course packed full of gentle manual techniques that can be readily integrated into a manual therapy practice. Skilled teaching by Brian and assisting by Greg made it possible to fit more than should be possible into three days of learning. Grateful to have these techniques!

How fortunate were the students and myself in this class to have had the opportunity and the experience to have attended this workshop with Brian Tuckey and assistant Greg. What more could one say about the plethora of information readily available to us all presented by Brian.

Excellent course built on the foundations of Dr. Jones’ classic strain/counterstrain and exploring aspects of Robert Schleip’s work on the tensional network of the human body and Thomas Myers work on anatomy trains, offering treatment options for the whole body using the ligaments of the spine and myochains. A lot of information which can be easily integrated into manual therapy clinical practice.

A course to challenge your understanding of the human body. To be introduced to the treatment of the body through fascia by Brian Tuckey, has been an amazing experience. Brian and Greg has been brilliant in sharing their knowledge and skill. It opens up our understanding and start to look at treating systems that cause dysfunctions rather than the symptoms and have lasting results.

This course is an absolute life changing for any practitioner. Brian Tuckey demonstrated during the course how effective MSK1 is in treatment of Frozen shoulders, ankles sprains and knee OA. This was demonstrated on people with tests performed before and after. I hope to complete the entire series so I can help my patients and change lives.

Brian presented this course so well. His passion for what he does is evident. These techniques are powerful and provide immediate and lasting results. I am a very structural practitioner however FCS is very gentle, easy on the hands yet highly effective. Looking forward to completing FCS MS2.
